With the advent of the Double Ninth Festival (Chongyang Festival), a good time to promote the traditional Chinese virtues of respecting, loving, and taking care of the elderly. Emperor Group joined hands with China Gezhouba Group Real Estate Development Corporation (hereinafter referred as “China Gezhouba Group Real Estate”) to invite the high-end fitness brand Will's Fitness to organize an “Elderly Fitness Day” for the elderly from the Yong’anli community, giving them a true “gift of health” and celebrating with them this major Chinese festival. Employees of both companies attended this event as volunteers.

This event was held at the Will's Fitness Club in Emperor Group Centre which sits on Beijing Chang'an Avenue. Will's Fitness is known for the superior quality of its fitness trainer services. At this event, professional trainers from Will's Fitness designed an exclusive aerobics session for the elderly on the theme of “Joint Protection in Autumn and Winter" according to their actual physical conditions, intending to build exercise habits, relieve chronic pain, strengthening somatic function, and rejuvenating vitality for the elderly. The trainers also patiently shared precautions for exercises in autumn and winter, daily healthy diet tips, and other scientific knowledge about fitness, and guided the elderly present on how to properly use fitness equipment and perform moderate exercise. With the help of volunteers from Emperor Group and China Gezhouba Group Real Estate, the elderly immersed themselves in the experience by patiently following the trainers' guidance. These elders said, "As we grow older, we become more aware of the importance of health. We are very grateful for the sponsor of the 'Elderly Fitness Day', and this event helped us keep fit and enjoy the exercise in a fitness club for the first time."

Trainers from Will's Fitness offer professional guidance

Nowadays, with health increasingly in the public eye, active exercise has become a vital part of a healthy lifestyle, and an important means to ensure a happy life. At the last count, the elderly had become the largest group of people who take the initiative to exercise as China’s population aging speeds up. The proportion of the elderly aged from 55 to 75 years who regularly take exercises is much higher than that of young and middle-aged people aged from 35 to 54 years. Although a growing number of the elderly are aware of the importance of active exercise, sports injuries often happen to some seniors due to lack of scientific knowledge about fitness. Therefore, how to manage health through proper exercise has also received wide attention from the elderly and even the whole society. With that in mind, Emperor Group organized such event.

The elderly demonstrate a healthy and positive energy with volunteers
